National Account Manager – Grocery

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for key Grocery accounts (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda), aligned with commercial objectives
- Drive distribution, availability, visibility, and promotion execution across the Grocery channel
- Lead joint business planning, customer negotiations, and performance reviews with major retail partners
- Manage P&L, portfolio mix, and promotional investment to maximise revenue and margin
- Deliver data-led insights and promotional analysis to support key events and retailer campaigns
- Build strong relationships with buying and category teams to unlock growth opportunities

- Oversee all customer processes including line listings, pricing changes, invoice claims, and deductions
- Monitor EPOS and sales data to inform forecasting, stock management, and trading performance
Role Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment, ideally managing major Grocery multiples (e.g. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons)
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth, hitting KPIs, and driving incremental revenue through strategic account management
- Experience owning P&L and developing Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with top-tier Grocery retailers
- Strong understanding of the UK retail landscape, including trade investment, promotional planning, and shopper marketing execution
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with strong command of IRI/Nielsen/Kantar or retailer-specific data sets to drive insight-led conversations
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset, capable of balancing short-term sales goals with long-term brand building
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a collaborative style and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Self-motivated and proactive, with strong planning, organisation, and presentation skills
- Flexible working arrangement (minimum of 3 days a week in the Bracknell office HQ)
- Full clean UK driving license
